What Information is Available for a Skiptrace?
Often many of our clients start a skiptrace by themselves without even realising. There is a lot of information available online which is accessible by members of the public, they just need to know where to look.
During a skiptrace, our private investigators use various databases which allow us to locate individuals or at least obtain leads so we can explore deeper into a person’s background and history.
Information we utilise often involves phone numbers, credit reports, loan applications, rental applications, job applications, friends and relatives, Facebook and numerous social media sites.
By obtaining as much information as possible, we can then start to cross reference and make further inquiries to ascertain an individual’s location.
During the skiptrace process we may often use a technique known as social engineering to investigate somebody. We combine all of the information gathered during the investigation and may then focus our investigation on friends and relatives of the “Skip” to determine the exact whereabouts of the person in question.
